This year starts us off in a new direction. This website was originally created for the
racing team Blew Bayou. Even though the boat is now located in Oahu, Hawaii, the
stories of the J120 team Blew Bayou continues to be heard around the Southern
California waterfronts.

Hello, my name is Skippy, founder of Team Blew Bayou and former owner of the well
known J120. I started this website in 2004 and will continue to keep it alive as long as
there is interest. This year the BB site expanded its focus with the addition of two other
race boats, ORCA and Shock Wave. I have raced with and against these fine sailors, so
here begins another possible legacy.

About the new boats:
ORCA is a J44 owned by a precious lady named Donna. Plans for 2009 is to do mostly
cruising with her new found sailor man, me! Yep, the impossible happened, two former
rivals have hooked up together. Go figure!

Shockwave is a Santana 30-30 owned by two couples, the Skrdlant's and Zaveski's.
They have been regular crew for ORCA for several years. They brought me on board
as their coach and tactician. In 2008, we took second place in the hard fought Dana
Point Series and a fourth overall against the big boats in the Harbor Championships. Not
bad for new owner's first season.

This website is dedicated to the sailors of Blew Bayou, ORCA, and Shock Wave.
Sail Fast,
Skippy
